5x5

5x5

80's Movies:

Back to the Future (1985) - An iconic Sci-Fi film, full of drama, comedy and overall fun.
The Terminator (1984) - A horror-like Sci-Fi film, which marks the start of the epic film series.
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983) - The conclusion of the original (and best) Star Wars trilogy, which ends with a bang (of the Death Star Mk2)!
Ferris Buller's Day Off (1986) - Great comedy film showing the life of a teen in the 80s, with its humor still holding up.
Ghostbusters (1984) - Funny, scary and epic: everything you want from a film.

Recent Movies (2014-16):

Frank (2014) - A brilliant indie film, with deep meanings about mental illness and music making.
Kingsman: The Secret Service (2015) - My favourite film of last year, combining the campiness of the original Bond films with its own comicy origin to create a great love letter to the spy and comedy genre.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) - One of the best superhero films, with the grit of a good espionage film and a great emotional undertone.
Deadpool (2016) - Really silly, really violent, really fun!
Legend (2015) - One actor playing two distinct characters in this great drama retelling the rise of the Krays.

Current TV Shows:

Game of Thrones (HBO) - Although I'm still a season behind, the gripping fantasy drama is one of the best on TV, with great actors, an intricate plot and fantastic effects.
Doctor Who (BBC) - Despite a recent lack of effort in the show, this 53 year old sci-fi show has some of the greatest stories ever told buried within its 250+ episodes.
The Flash (CW) - Taking place in its own universe with other CW shows (Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and now Supergirl), this show brings a super-powered character action, drama and romance.
Gotham (Fox) - A show taking liberties with the origin of the dark knight, starring iconic villains like Riddler or Penguin, as well as Batman's greatest allies like Jim Gordon and Catwoman.
Agents of SHIELD (ABC) - Taking place behind the scenes of the MCU, with Agent Coulson from The Avengers at its heart and a plethora of powered people around him.

Comedy Shows:

Wasted (E4) - A wacky and stupid comedy about four friends (and Sean Bean) taking drugs/getting drunk and doing stupid stuff!
The Inbetweeners (Channel 4) - Four dorky friends struggling to be cool at school. Despite being a few years old, it has a great rewatchability factor, even on episodes you've already watched.
Red Dwarf (BBC - Dave) - Taking the micky out of the sci-fi genre in a ingeniously clever way.
How I Met Your Mother (CBS) - A fantastic series chronicling the romantic failures of Ted Mosby both emotionally and comically.
The Thick Of It (BBC) - A political comedy show showing the dark secrets of politicians, from the clueless Hugh Abbot to the swearaholic Malcolm Tucker.

Actors:

Paul McGann - One of the famous McGann brothers, starring in many stage plays as well as many movies like Alien 3, the Doctor Who TV Movie or Lesbian Vampire Killers (great film despite the name).
Charles Dance - An internationally famous British actor, who's famous for appearing many films, mostly gothics, classics or british.
Harrison Ford - Despite being a very controversial man for his mood, Ford is undoubtedly a fantastic actor, as the star of Blade Runner, Indiana Jones and Star Wars.
Taron Egerton -  One of the most promising up-and-coming stars, starring in great films like Kingsman, Legend and Eddie the Eagle.
Michael Caine - A true movie legend, starring in 60's classics like Alfie or The Italian Job as well as modern masterpieces like The Dark Knight or Now You See Me.
